GRP Grating and Anti-slip Flooring Products

Engineered Composites supplies from stock an extensive range of glass fibre reinforced GRP flooring, grating and anti-slip flooring products.  They are all made from glass reinforced polyester resin giving excellent corrosion resistance and weatherability at an economic cost. 

All the GRP grating and anti-slip flooring products can be made to order in other resin systems including vinyl ester for extra corrosion resistance and phenolic for the ultimate in fire resistance

All the GRP grating and anti-slip flooring flooring products comply with the relevant British and EN standards.

GRP Grating

GRP grating provides users with a valuable combination of corrosion resistance, light weight, toughness and ease of installation that cannot be matched by more traditional materials.  Competitive pricing enables GRP grating to compete directly with galvanised steel and aluminium grating in many applications.  There are three types available from stock with others available to order.

GRP Open-Mesh Moulded Grating

GRP open mesh moulded grating is available in a number of different panel sizes at 25, 38 and 50mm thick, all with the option of a gritted slip resistant top surface.  The grating is easy to cut to shape making for fast installation even in complex layouts.

All the gratings are fire retardant to ASTM E 84

GRP Pultruded Grating

GRP pultruded grating is made from pultruded I or T section bearing bars held in place with transverse bars.  The pultruded grating is generally lighter and stiffer for the same thickness compared to moulded grating, which enables wider spans and more open area for better drainage or air flow than the moulded grating.

GRP Solid Top Grating

A solid grp sheet is bonded to the grp open mesh moulded GRP grating during the manufacture process.  The top surface can have different degrees of slip resistance to suit the service requirements..

GRP Anti-Slip Flat Sheet And Stair Tread Covers

There are many occasions where a floor or decking needs a durable anti-slip surface. Bonding a grp slip resistant sheet to the floor is a quick, effective and cost effective solution. GRP sheet and stair treads with grit anti-slip surface are available from stock. Other levels of slip resistance can be provided to order including a chequer plate moulded surface.

Technical data

Both the moulded and pultruded gratings comply with the requirements of BS 4592 (Part 4 for pultruded and Part 6 for moulded).

GRP Interlocking Flooring Plank

DECK500 is a one-piece pultruded profile, 500mm cover width, with a tongue and groove joint along the length of the plank that gives a firm, sealable joint between lengths of profile.

DECK500 is suitable as a mezzanine floor, for walkways, pedestrian bridge decks and odour control covers or to keep out water penetration in potable and waste water treatment units.

DECK500 can be used in a number of other applications where its strength, light weight and easy of joining provide important benefits.
