Composite reusable cores are a modular design for maximum service life.
They consist of two parts
- A central high strength glass reinforced isophthalic polyester tubular core incorporating internal ribs or splines.
- Moulded end caps or drive adaptors which cover and protect the ends of the core and locate with the internal splines

The internal diameter of the drive adaptors match the diameter required by the chucks.
The external diameter of the core can be designed to match the diameter of your current paper core so that reusable composite cores and paper cores can be run in parallel or in sequence without needing to make process adjustments.
If air shafts are used, an insert can be incorporated within the length of the core to mate with the air shaft.
The reusable composite core has highlighted major saving in production costs. By introducing these cores into internal production loops many leading companies in Paper, Newsprint and Flexible Packaging, have seen improvement in production speeds and quality, reduced waste and disposal costs.
One of the major saving comes with cost per use against the current paper core.
The composite core is strong and has a cut resistance coating to prevent damage from knives during material removal. We can supply simple core stripping machine which is safe and low cost that allows the waste material to be quickly removed from the core, increasing the speed in which the core can get back into the loop without the use of knives with the clean, stripped material ready for recycling.
