GRP Pultruded Structural Profiles

Engineered Composites has a very wide range of glass fibre reinforced pultruded structural profiles from stock.

The GRP profile sections are made from glass reinforced isophthalic polyester resin reinforced with E glass fibre and including continuous strand mat and a polyester surface veil as the surface layer. This combination gives excellent corrosion resistance and weatherability at an economic cost.

The standard BS EN 13706 – Specification for Pultruded Profiles, defines two grades of structural profiles. All Engineered Composites structural profiles with a wall thickness of over 5mm thick meet the higher performance E23 grade while those at 3-5mm wall meets the E17 grade.

GRP Pultruded Structural Profile Product Range

The pultruded profiles listed in the tables below are carried as stock items in 6m lengths for immediate delivery.

The stock lengths can be cut to length if required. We have dies available for an even wider range of size and types of pultruded profiles. Opposite each table of the standard stock items there is a button to link to the other profiles of this type that are available to order.

All the profiles can be supplied in a range of RAL colours, in different resin options and pre-cut to length to save off cut scrap losses.  The resin options available include fire retardant to BS476, pt 7 Class 1 and Class 2, and low smoke/low toxicity for enclosed spaces and high risk area.

All the profiles are inherently electrically non-conductive but they can also have an electrically conductive surface veil included during production to give an anti-static characteristic.
